The Powerful Relationship Between Reading Books And Conquering Your Goals

The Powerful Relationship Between Reading Books And Conquering Your Goals

Reading is the most powerful tool you can leverage in any aspect of life.

This is going to serve as a slight introduction in the “Recommended Reading” section of the blog that I’ve neglected.

I don’t want to do a disservice to the material that I found to be so pivotal to my growth.

There is nothing more valuable than reading asides from actual real world experience.

Depending on what you are reading, you can learn from OTHERS experiences.

Like all of you on this blog who get to read about mine!

Whether it’s product I used and feel are worth recommending OR things I’ve learned from failure.

Think of what you can learn from someone who has TWENTY years of experience in something you are passionate about.

Imagine the benefit of learning from someone who chooses to SPECIALIZE in something.

A good portion of content on the blog will be recaps of some of my favorite books.

I’ll provide a quick summary of the book, what it taught me and how I think others may benefit from reading it.

Additionally, I’ll provide multiple formats when available.

Whether it’s a link to the audio-book version, a YouTube video that covers it well, or just a link to the hardcover/paperback.

The limitless potential from reading ANYTHING.

Sadly, I only see “self-improvement” centered pages solely recommending the same content.

It’s always: Business, Finance, and “How To…” books that everyone has been told about.

Granted, those are all incredibly important to develop a good plan for life.

Nobody will really argue against that.

They more or less teach you how to perform tasks or how to properly manage external factors.

That will be absolutely pivotal towards solving problems or making yourself more valuable to others.

I find that it’s good to take up a habit of also just reading anything in general.

Maybe you get an hour long escape from whatever pressure you have while reading your novella.

During that time you could learn a new word or draw parallels to your life.

This is especially true when you engage in reading philosophy.

Marcus Aurelius, Albert Camus, Kierkegaard, Sartre, anyone really.

This additional outside perspective on life is sometimes EXACTLY what you need to recognize yourself and your situation.

Maybe it shows things aren’t that bad, or conversely, that they’re just bad enough to make you reform.

Maybe it will give you the mindset that you need to be strong enough to not cower away from doing what you know needs to be done.

I’ll be incorporating my favorites from the above to hopefully give you all an additional lens on life.

Growing together

Lastly, this gives us a unique ability to learn and grow together.

As a community we will slowly grow and have more similarly driven or aspirational people.

With that in mind, we will also have a plethora of different views, interpretations and suggestions.

Perhaps people with a high level of competency in that field can shed light on subject matter or recoommend what they read to learn more about it.

I would also highly encourage you all to share what you’re reading, and if you know of anything relevant to also share it in the comments.

The next few months are going to be absolutely remarkable and I can’t wait to see what you all have to share!

Until Next time, Toodles!
